CareDX

For CareDx, a California-based biotechnology and precision medicine company at the forefront of transplant care, we developed a flexible illustration system based on continuous line drawings.

Commissioned by Mucho, the rebrand and visual system, despite being created for a company deeply rooted in technology, place greater emphasis on CareDx’s human dimension through line, gesture and the representation of people.

Illustration System

To address different communication needs, the system is structured across three levels of complexity: icons, spot illustrations and narrative illustrations. From simple, highly distilled symbols to more detailed compositions, every element belongs to the same cohesive visual system.

Iconography

The smallest elements in the system. Reduced to their essential form, these icons use minimal detail to communicate ideas quickly and clearly at small sizes.

Small illustrations

Compact illustrations with a richer level of detail. Designed to explain more specific concepts while keeping the clarity, simplicity and rhythm of the system.

Stroytelling Illustrations

More detailed compositions built to communicate complex ideas and narratives. These illustrations bring together people, objects and moments of care into a more expressive visual language.
